Very nice looking pair of S&Ws.

    Thanks for the Gun Porn.
I don't carry a weapon and look for trouble, I carry one just in case trouble finds me.

A Ruger Single Ten with 2X scope and Herrett target grips and a Single Six Convertible .22 caliber 4 5/8" barrel. Both fun shooters.

I just updated the wall paper I keep on the desktop. So I thought I just throw it up here and give you a look at my small collection.

I have a small representative collection of original and replicas (The Italian/Spanish Thing). It starts with what I call the Black Powder Cap & Ball Percussion Era (1837-1862). Marked 1. I wanted a representation of the evolution from single shot pistols (Late 17th Century) to revolvers with cylinders. The cylinders start with a replica of Sam Colt’s 1837 Paterson, the Colt Walker, and Dragoon. I added several Colt Navy’s, a Colt Army and an 1878 Remington to the mix.

The next part is the Black Powder Cartridge Era (1856-1899). All originals except for the first one at the top. Which is a Uberti replica of a Richards-Mason 1871 Conversion of an 1851 Colt Navy, in .38 Special caliber. Marked 2.

Two more modern, Black Powder C&B Percussion Revolvers that I have in my collection are Ruger Old Army’s. The stainless is an old range gun, made in 1979. Her older sister made in 1976, still hasn’t been fired. Marked 3.

I have a collection of modern weapons that include a S&W 4043, A Ruger Super Redhawk, 44 MAG, a Ruger SP101 in .357 caliber, a Sig P-239 in 9mm and finally a BUG, the Ruger LCP .380, with a CT Laser attached. Marked 3,

Bottom left, marked 5. There are 2 S&W Model 36, snubbies in 38 Special. I bought one NIB in 1983 and the second was a Police trade in made in 1960. Accompanying them is a Colt Police Positive made in 1919, a Harrington and Richardson (H&R) Model 925, made in 1968. A NAA Black Widow in 22LR and 22 Magnum adds to the collection.

The Rifles, marked Section 6. The top rifle is a New England Arms Handi/Utility Rifle in .243 caliber. Beneath it are a Marlin 22MWR and a GAMO Whisper .177 pellet rifle, with a sound suppressor (A suburban Tree Rat Thing).

I hadn’t messed around with an AR since around 1993, when I retired from the military. This is a Palmetto State Armory 16” M4A1 Patrol Rifle, 5.56mm with some Aimpoint Optics, and a drop in forearm guard and rails added. Nothing like that old M16/GAU I used to lug around.

Some people collect stamps, bottles or what ever. I find myself wondering how I wound up with so many? But what the heck.
