If my 22/45 doesn't say MK-III...

This is a discussion on If my 22/45 doesn't say MK-III... within the Ruger MK II forums, part of the Ruger Standard & MK Pistols category; Does that automatically make it a MK-II? I bought it new, but that was years ago and I don't remember. It just says 22/45....

    Sir:

Well, technically, no it does not mean that it's a Mark II version, although these pistols were indeed produced during the Mark II production run. The first version of the Ruger 22/45 is labeled as just that, the 22/45. When the Ruger Mark III pistol came about, post 2005, they were then exclaimed to be the ruger Mark III 22/45 pistols. Hope this helps.
