I would suggest a holster with some forward cant. Forward cant tilts the gun forward and puts the grip upward a little bit. That does make it easier to conceal and has less printing than a straight drop. With a straight drop, the butt end of the grip has a little more tendency to print. Forward cant also makes it a little easier to draw the gun from the holster. Straight drop is ok for appendix carry, but I'm not a fan of appendix carry. It's fine if I'm always standing. But when seated the gun has a tendency to jab into the thigh. YMMV.

Also, if you sweat allot, then horsehide construction of the holster is very beneficial.

The Kydex holster on the left is the fastest and easiest on and off, but not the most comfortable after a few hours. The enclosed leather holster in the middle is a little more difficult on and off but more comfortable on the hip. The leather holster on the far right is an open end that I pretty much don’t use. It is difficult to put on and takeoff and not very comfortable.

I have a couple Alien Gear holsters for larger (1911,s) that I don’t carry anymore, and they are very comfortable. It is such a pia for me to mess with two clips that I’ve yet to buy one for any of my 9s, and I don’t think I would bother for the LCP. I pocket carry now, but there are times when IWB would be a better option.

I don’t know why I thought we were posting LC9 stuff, guess I had a senior moment.

Pocket carry is my preferred method but when riding a bike I like to go IWB usually. I do have a kydex holster like the one pictured for an LCP ll, but not with a laser. Toytraindoc do you have an Alien Gear for your LCP? Got a picture?
