There is just something to coolness of the 1911 smaller guns that is so appealing. Just like the Sig 238, the Colt Pocketlite, Kimber Micro or even the cheaply made Phoenix, they have a wonderful feel and balance in the hand. I know they are hard to get and have seen them occasionally in my LGS's. Should have picked one up a long time ago. Thanks for sharing you post and Pics.

Yep. I am a big fan of the .45acp round and I waited a long time for Ruger to make a SR45c. I eventually gave up and bought a Springfield XDs. If I had it to over again I would just buy one of the smaller 1911 type handguns. I may anyway. If Springfield made the EMP in .45acp I would already own one. It may be time for me to go shopping.
Women fear me. Fish dig me. Wait....did I say that right?

A fairly stiff trigger that should break-in nicely like the one of my full-sized RAP 9 did.

I will say right now that I love my SR9C. I won't go into how much I love it, because it would be a book. I was hesitant to embrace the new American, but more and more I read about this gun the more it impresses me.
I want a 45. Would love to have have a Ruger 1911 but the price is too high for me now. I am thinking hard about the American in 45.cal.

When a manufacturer makes this quote, I pay attention. It is not weather you shoot Plus P, it is a testament that the gun is super tough.

"Performance tested for sustained +P ammunition use "Sustained Plus P".(please no comment about about SAMMI and all the other stuff, we get the drift)

When any gun manufacturer makes a statement that it is Plus P rated, you should pay attention. It means it is superior in quality. It will last longer, made to last longer and they stand behind the product. This is not just 45 cal, it is for 9mm or most especially 380.
