    When figuring recoil, to get a realistic assessment, one has to consider the power of the cartridge AND the weight of the firearm. Other things come into play like grip size and shape.
    Some sub compact 9mm s can be pretty snappy.

    To me, the .380 's seem surprisingly snappy. Suspect this is due to small gripping surface and light weight. These issues can be modified, but at the expense of concealability.
