I have the .357 and love it. Have been pondering the .22 for a while with concerns about the stiffer trigger pull. Now they are bringing it out in .22 Magnum. Now that really interests me. Hope it gets better reviews concerning the trigger.

...why excited? The spec sheet indicates that the Ruger .22 WMRF weighs in at 16.6oz vs. the .38+P at 13.6oz vs. the .357 at 17.10oz. Ruger must be having a brain gas liberation on this one. I simply don't get the logic of a LCR .22 Mag in that weight class

Excited as in I love the .22 magnum round. A little more oomph than the .22 lr. Just over an ounce difference between my .357 and the .22 WMR I will not notice. I can buy two boxes of WMR for less than half the price of 38 or 357. If the trigger is decent then what is there not to like?

...thx, wb. I should have not assumed that it was for SD purposes. A few extra ounces at the range is not an issue, as I shoot my K22 often and it weighs a ton (41oz loaded). I chose the .22WMR for my newly acquired Golden Boy vs. a larger caliber in another Henry series for the same reason. Just shows that we all have an agenda that suits our specific needs. Good post.

Yes I can relate to heavy as I have an SR1911. I do love it though. How do you like the Golden Boy? I bought the Marlin XT-22 magnum last week. Have not had a chance to shoot it yet but hopefully will soon.

...love the Golden Boy. Frankly, it's the smoothest action I've experienced in a lever rifle and the craftmanship is impeccable. Mine is scoped with a Nikon ProStaff 4X32, but it was an unnecessary investment. The irons are extremely accurate and eye friendly. The scope just helps reach out a little further. It is a bit heavy for a .22, but the Henry has a strong history in American firearms history and it was just a must-have in my case. I generally use my 10/22 Sporter for hunting where carrying for extended periods is required. Congrats on the XT-22....fine rifle.

my wife has the LCR 22 lr and loves it I have the .38 and when we go to the range I run about 10 rounds through the .38 then we take turns on her gun saves a ton in ammo cost and yep I want one in mag when they come out.
