LC9 trigger won't reset

Shooting all the guns at range today, put 3 magazines thru LC9, was on 4th mag and got about half way through, pulled trigger, nothing..

Looked at gun, round chambered indicator up, so dropped mag, cleared round, reinserted mag, chambered round, pulled trigger, nothing

Basically the trigger won't reset, also noticed I cannot push safety up to engage safety.

Guess I'm calling Ruger tomorrow..

That is disturbing, elsieshooter, particularly with the other links you posted with the same problem. How may rounds through you LC9?
I only have 200 through mine so far with no problems. Love the gun.

It is in fact the hammer catch spring. I just looked at it with a flashlight, cocked the hammer back with my thumb and the catch flops around.
If I put a mag in it I can pull the trigger but it wont reset, drop the mag and the hammer catch is flopped down toward bottom of magazine well.
Pull hammer back with thumb and I can hold gun upside down and hammer catch will fall back into place to catch hammer.
I think I have 400-500 rounds through it maybe.

Called Ruger, here is phone conversation:

Me: Hi, My LC9 trigger won't reset, hammer catch spring is broke I think.
Ruger: You said hammer catch spring?
Me: yes I think that's what it is, the hammer catch is flopping around
Ruger: Ok, we will send you a label and get that fixed

Doesn't get much easier than that..
They emailed me my label and I'm shipping it this afternoon
