Remember when the rifle manufacturers started putting crappy triggers in guns because of law suits? That was the start of some really hard , scratchy, gritty, pull three times before they go off lawyer proof crap . Then they all started putting warning labels all over them . How did we get from there to now ?

I carry my LC9 bought new in 2011 all the time, it's my main carry gun. I didn't carry it for quite a while because it was one of the originals that had primer problems. I finally got it out of the drawer and called Ruger again, this time they fixed it right and I have confidence in it. I feel that the long trigger pull is a good safety and leave the safety off, I'm not sure how I'd feel about a lighter trigger.

I wonder if the Glock and XDm forums are laughing about Ruger calling their trigger doodad a safety also? I doubt it, they have better things to talk about. Den

I'm on the XDTalk forum and haven't seen anything mentioned about it.

I carry the original LC9 about half the time. Summer or when I want something smaller it's the Sig P238.

The socialist Republic of California won't let me buy an LC9s, an LCP or LCP II or pretty much anything that came on the market in the past 25 years. We get old designed due to the "safe gun list".

I need to move out of this place...

Hi, HollandLaw, that LC9 is a fine pistol and should serve you very well.

I carry and shoot the original LC9. When I first took it out, my wife and I couldn't hit anything with it and hated that long trigger pull. I put it away for a couple of years and largely forgot about it. One day we tried the LC9s and really enjoyed shooting it. We purchased the LC9s as a result.
That reminded me about the old (hardly fired) LC9 tucked away. Searching for ways to improve the trigger, I found a post describing the trigger as being a DAO trigger akin to that of a revolver. With that in mind I took the LC9 back out and fired a few rounds hearkening back to my old S&W 66 that I really loved to shoot. Suddenly, I gained a newfound appreciation for the LC9.
The LC9 now gets a regular workout and I carry it exclusively now.
Cliff Notes version: I carry and shoot the original LC9.
