I got the pro because it will be my primary CCW and I don't want to have to worry about the safety when I'm ready to use it. I feel that I'm experienced enough that I don't need a safety. It's really up to the individual. If you don't feel comfortable carrying without a safety then by all means get the regular LC9s.

If you wont carry it, it's not an ideal gun to have. Beyond that, decide which model fits your needs, not what fits my needs.

Thats what I thought when I got my lc9s. I ended up shooting it more than my sr9 and its sweet to carry and accurate to boot. It has a great trigger and it points like your index finger. You will be shooting it more than you think.

I agree, I also shoot mine better then I do my SR9C... I'm loving mine, which is the Pro. If I don't find another use for my SR9, I may part with it, the LC9 is THAT GOOD

LC9s Pro or LC9s with the safety? good question.... I carry the LCP most of the time, which has the longer trigger pull. I decided to go with the LC9s With the safety because of the Short and Better trigger. I know NOT to put your finger on the trigger until firing but something told me to get the safety. I believe the Pro is easier to take down and clean, maybe someone can explain.

I'm new here, but let me suggest getting the standard LC9s with manual thumb safety. Many "experts", especially Glock fanboys, say the important safety is between your ears and a safety will get in your way. Whatever you carry should be subject to training and practice, so the safety becomes part of the draw procedure--just like the U.S. military has used for over 100 years. Things happen. There is a reason for a particular injury being called "Glock leg". Just one opinion.

I could not agree more with your statement. Glock leg is common enough to make me want a safety. I must say that I train often, so training is not the issue for me. Train often with a safety and it will become second nature.

I've given this a lot of thought as well. I want a safety on a striker-fired carry pistol. I'm perfectly fine with my LCP (no safety), due to it's long heavy trigger. No way it's going to fire without my intending to.
