Thoughts on Selling my LCP for an LC9?

I have had a Raspberry LCP with Crimson Trace for about 2 years now. I told the buyer I would take $350 for it and he agreed. I was thinking about getting the LC9 with the proceeds. Thoughts and opinions welcome. I haven't sold it yet, so I can back out of the deal until noon tomorrow.

Also... My EDC has been a Beretta PX4 Storm .40 The Raspberry was my wife's "home defense". I have been carrying the LCP in an ankle holster lately and it's been nice, but I think the LC9 would be as easy to carry and a little easier to shoot.

First, I am not a fan of raspberry colored gun, but that is beside the point.

Although I think that is a good price for you LCP, I think you will be sorry if you sell it, and I think if you sell it you wil probably end up buying another one, hopefully a black one.

If you want an LC9, wait until the cash is in hand and buy one. They are not going to run out of them.

Yes 2 guns are better than 1. Keep the LCP Till you have the money for the LC 9.

I agree with both of the above posts. Sooner or later you'll regret selling your LCP.

I have both the LCP and LC9; I alternate carry between them depending on dress...with a little LCR carry once in a while. Sometimes the LCP is all that will work.

I agree, keep it and save for the LC9! I have a PX4 also and love it, but the LC9 is a lot easier to carry. On the LCP, "Paint It Black".

I do have a 3rd gun. I replaced the LCP with an SR22. My wife handles it much better and can rack the slide on it. She couldn't rack it on the LCP.
I do have some DureCoat in Tactical Black. I guess I could make the raspberry disappear...
My dad had the same suggestion, just keep it and buy the LC9. That's probably the best advice.

Good idea Apostle, since you already have an LCP no matter what color, sooner or later you will have a situation where it will be the best carry option. Since I got my .357 magnum snubby I haven't been carrying my LCP, it sits waiting in case I want light weight or deep concealment. The LCP will always be the best carry gun offered to the public IMHO. But I am bias with it. I will never sell mine.

Welcome to the forum Apostle! Your LCP is a perfect pocket pistol no mater what color it is. Looks like you better put a move on! You only have until noon tomorrow to find an LC9 to shoot and see if you like it. I hope you don't rush into something you may regret. Ruger makes a weapon thats a little bigger than a LC9. Handle and shoot an SR9c, you may like it. Den

And I gotta agree. I love my LC9, but i'll never separate from my LCP!!!
