I've read mention in several threads about a need to strengthen one's trigger finger. Here's an inexpensive device that I've used for a couple of years now that has helped me; it's the Everlast Hand & Finger Strengthener. I got mine at Academy Sports for $7.99, but I'm sure you can find them in a number of sporting goods stores.

The thing I like most about this as opposed to other hand strengtheners is that you can isolate the fingers for individual exercises. The shape of it is almost like a gun handle; in fact, I'll frequently use a two-hand grip just like I would use in shooting and work just my trigger finger. I keep mine on my nightstand next to my bed and grab it to exercise while watching TV.

Hope this is helpful to some. Here's a link to let you see what it looks like and read more about it. http://www.academy.com/webapp/wcs/st...659+4294965565

The one Kudzu posted is a little different than the one I use, but they serve the same purpose.
The Gripmaster was recommended to me many years ago by my guitar instructor.

I also have a gripmaster I bought a couple of years ago. Does seem to strengthen the fingers. If I just remember to use it often.

I use the Gripmaster too, for guitar and piano (left hand). Never thought about using it for the trigger finger though... I'm not sure I see a need for it as I can manage the LCP trigger just fine

My left hand sustained an injury two years ago that I am still favoring. This hand would benefit from the strengthening of the whole hand as well as helping train the index fingers ability to smoothly pull against pressure. That finger is missing the fingertip from the first knuckle forward. Dry firing the LCP has benefited to a point ... I can pull the trigger although with some difficulty, it still isn't smooth by any means. My strong hand (right hand) has good trigger control and a good grip. The weak hand had the ability prior to injury to perform the task of shooting my single action revolvers with reasonable accuracy if it were called upon to do so. Now, having an injured hand right out of the gate makes me realize the importance of training should something happen to my good hand. It also assures my brain of the fact that I can ... a confidence builder. I'll be looking into one of these.

The best (funnest) way to strengthen your trigger finger is to shoot your LCP and LC9.......a lot.
