I was looking through some old stuff last night when I came across my old Volcanic .22 starter pistol. I remember having so much fun with this when I was a kid. It's loud and takes .22 blank shells. Has to be at least 40 years old and still works. Just thought it was a cool childhood memory.

I was at a Wal-mart the other day and I seen a young lady with her two children one was a boy round 8-10. He was darting in a toy isle and I heard his Mom say no guns. I though well maybe I see her point but how sad. I grew up with toy guns and real guns and I am not a criminal and never shot anyone. I have a good steady Job and decent morals (for the most part )Some of my best childhood memories are with some sort of gun. Kind of feel sad that that little boy will never know that feeling.

Yes, they are loud! I remember standing too close to a starter at a track meet in HS and my ears were ringing for the rest of the day.

Oh, and the toy gun thing. Have you noticed that most of us that grew up with toys guns and real guns turned out okay? In contrast to the generations that didn't and seem to be the most troubled? What's up with that?

    Cool Volcanic starter pistol man!

I was thinking that, but something suppressed my inner child this time!

The EIG is nice too! Starter/blank guns...not quite a toy, not really a gun...something in between...but they both go BANG! Gotta love em.
