I finally got to shoot my new LCPII today and couldn't be happier. Shot about a hundred rounds through it and it eat and spit out everything. Among the bullets fired were Winchester white box, Remington UMC, and Ruger ARX. Everything functioned flawlessly. I've often heard the LCP's were snappy, but I didn't feel that way at all. In fact, I felt it was a very comfortable gun to shoot. Controlling the gun wasn't bad at all, and I didn't think the muzzle flip was any worse than my SW Shield. Accuracy surprised me as well. The vast majority of rounds were in a 3 inch grouping at 15 feet from the target. Not too bad I don't think for my first time ever shooting a .380. There were a few strays at first, but once I got the hang of it, the accuracy was better than I expected. At 10 feet, I had several in the bullseye. My son was shooting his new Glock 42 and it performed flawlessly as well. I shot that one myself and it was a good shooter and comfortable to hold. I'd also like to show you a tool I made here at home for the pin removal when tearing down my LCPII for cleaning. The idea just popped into my head one day. I just took a simple old fashioned paint lid removal tool and used my grinder to thin out the blade a bit more to easily slip under the head of the pin in the LCP. The natural curvature of the blade on the lid remover worked perfectly for lifting the pin away from the gun frame without scratching the frame itself. I know there are many ways to remove the pin. Just thought I would share this way with you. Happy shooting.

Glad you like your new LCP II. I can see one in my future. When my Custom wears out that is what I plan to replace it with. Hope Ruger continues to improve on the LCP platform.
Happy shooting and remember, safety first.
