I sometimes catch it for my opinions. It's ice to have a little light fun with someone else. I'm glad you took it as just a little fun.

    Perhaps this would help:

    LCP II accidental discharge???

And if God forbid you actually experience an accidental discharge with your LCP II, I suspect you'll care a lot.

The forum is kind of becoming a joke.

Its a gun, and not a high priced one, if you can't carry it safely, don't.

It is one thing to state your option and let others judge for themselves.

But please stop the campaign to inform the rest of us how wrong we are.

It seems like its in every thread...

Sorry to disappoint you, but when it comes to advocating for SAFETY FIRST, it's going to take a lot more than that to quiet me down.

If you can't kill the message, kill the messenger . . . right? And even if you manage to get rid of me, what are you going to do about Dave?

    Good luck!

Not only is he banging the drum in numerous threads, he started many of them. Ruger has teams of lawyers, engineers, and gunsmiths. If they feel the gun is safe, then so do I. I've owned LCPs since the first ones shipped. I've played with the II, and will add one to the collection. BTW, my LCP I 370-5xxxx has only a 6lb trigger, by far the lightest double action I own. If you don't like the LCP II, or KelTec , or Kimber, or Colt, or ... don't buy it. Feel free to state why, but good god man, enough.

"Enough" is my call . . . or a moderator's call is he thinks I'm getting out of hand . . . not yours. And you have choices, of course. Don't like my posts? Don't read them. Or add me to your ignore list and you won't have to read my posts ever again. But as I said, continuing to actively advocate for SAFETY FIRST isn't something I'm likely to stop doing anytime soon. So if you're going to keep paying attention to what I have to say, you might as well get used to it.

    ------------------------
“[With] a trigger pull that is both longer and heavier than most other actions, there is far more tactile feedback that the [double action] trigger is being pulled in between the start of inadvertent unintentional movement and the Big Loud Noise. We’ve lost sight of this as a community with the prevalence of ever lighter and shorter striker fired action triggers and candidly I doubt we’ll see the pendulum swing back anytime soon… The shooting community always blames the operator for every accident and never considers the role that equipment plays in making some guns more or less likely to facilitate those accidents.”

I do think we've had more than enough separate threads on the subject of the LCPII's safety characteristics. If any more are started, they will probably be blended into the existing threads or deleted depending on the content.

Yes, the LCP ll is a nice gun. Especially for beginners and pro's as well. Light triggers are easier to learn on, easier to shoot and easier to rack. Get one and it might even go down lighter. Maybe a gun smith would do his handiwork and get it down to 3 or 4 lbs. Man that would give some exceptional target time, save on learning, save on ammo and save important time you could be doing other things in life. Light triggers are what the Pro's use. Why? they are faster to target. Quickness is the name of the game. Get the lightest trigger possible in a carry gun. Make it smooth and just the lightest touch for self protection. You already have the best safety, "the one in your Brain". Why do you think Glock became so popular and award winning? they are the best guns in the world, and they DO NOT HAVE A SAFETY.
