    This is the second incident of a passer by helping a police officer that has occurred in the last few months. It always makes me proud. There are only a few who will take action and they are real heroes.

    Here is a similar episode that happened last month in Indiana. Notable is the armed citizen was female and she fatally shot the attacker with one round.

    Maybe , but a civilian with a gun could very easily be mistaken for a bad guy. If you are feeling brave, go for it.I'll wait til the sceen calms down and everyone is identified.

    In this situation, the LEO knows that you are the one who came to his assistance. Also, re-holstering again conceals the gun and should re leave any idea of threat.

    In this case the cop was up and talking so he could see you helped him. I just worry about new on the scene seeing a gun.Any gun.We have all seen plain clothes cops holding up their badges after the cavalry shows up.
