Frame cracks or grip cracks? Heck, there is only so much you can talk about with just one pistol. Maybe we need to discuss other firearms as well. I am, going to the range today Denny, will be shooting the LCR9mm, what will you be shooting today? Tomorrow I will be shooting the Blackhawk, and the Heritage 22. How about you? I think we all should get to the range more. Looking forward to your range review Denny.

Yes, frame cracks are rare. I for one am interested in hearing about any. On this and other forums, people exchange info on the good and not so good experiences. From what I have read, frame cracks happen in other brand pocket guns as well. Again, it is not common, but good to know about.
I have had 2 LCP frame cracks. I now have a II and have only heard of 1 FC.
I ques if you haven't had the problem, you get anointed by the discussion.
    The info is worth posting.

LCP issues in general are rare. If that weren't the case, with 1.5M units sold since 2008, we'd have heard a lot more complaints about them than the paltry few we've received in forums like ours and on YouTube videos. The problem is, some folks think that people who report issues with their LCPs represent the majority of LCP owners. In fact, they represent less than 1/10th of 1% of them. Those folks don't have a problem with their pistols, they have a problem with their perspectives.

As most here know, the LCP II frame has been beefed up a little compared to previous models. I am wondering if this has eliminated the frame cracking issue.

No, most of us don't know that and I don't think you do either. All we know is that the LCP II weighs one ounce more than the LCP does and is a slightly larger pistol overall. Where the additional weight has been distributed hasn't been determined yet unless, of course, you have access to data I haven't seen yet. If you do, let's see it.

Why is it that some people on this board are so argumentative?. If you don`t like or agree with someones post, why not just skip over it. I am damn tired of posters jumping down my throat for asking legitimate questions.
    I will explain this question.
I own and love my LCP Custom. If it fails I would consider buying a LCP II to replace it. The Glock type trigger on the LCP II does not bother me at all. As a matter of fact I have owned three Glock pistols over the years and have two now.
If Ruger has eliminated the frame cracking issue with the LCP II, that would be great.
I don`t want to get into a pissing match but, I think your post was unfair.

Why is it that some folks won't get off their soapbox? You honestly don't think you've already made your point and people can't see what you're up to?

Let us know when your LCP fails. Then maybe we'll have something to talk about. Until then, I pronounce you a troll! And I, for one, am done feeding you.
