Awhile back I started the thread "New LCP Features" that caused a bit of confusion because the LC380 was introduced the same day Today I finally upgraded. The new trigger makes a world of difference. I started at 3 yards for function tests and to check my laser. I had to adjust my laser a little but everything ran fine. I then moved my target to 7 yards and was getting excellent groups with both the open sights and laser. Today was cloudy, so I shot some steel from 12 to 15 yards with the laser and the LCP did great. I fired 60 rounds with no problems. One thing I noticed is it doesn't throw the brass as far. I normally reload for all my guns , but not for .380's because my old LCP threw everywhere and far. I don't know if is my imagination or not. but the new one didn't feel as snappy in my hand. I have my old one boxed up and cleaned to sell to a friend, but I might try it one more time. I am happy I upgraded.

I passed over the old one at one point partially due to the trigger and sights. I own a new one now, it's very nice.

i also like the new LCP's short trigger stroke. But the old model's trigger isn't really that bad, either. If you install the "Sweet Pea" trigger (available from RTK Triggers or Galloway Precision) the old model's trigger stroke will become just a bit shorter and feels smoother because it eliminates the pre- and over-trvel of the stock trigger.

Just got my new LCP + CT laser and ran 150 rounds of PMC Bronze FMJ through it without any problems. Got the same experience as Scotch827. Glad I did my research.

I wish I had the new one instead of the old one, but I don't want it quite badly enough to spring for the extra dough.
