I had not been in to it very long, was trying to be all bad had to have my 17 round S&W well 16 cause I did not have one in the chamber. Luckily it was cold, cold for Ga. that is, so I had a jacket to cover it. I was leaving WM & there was a ruckus in the parking lot, I just calmly walked between some cars pulled & racked my 9 & held it close to my side walked to my truck.
I did not even realize there was a threat until It was upon me. I do not pull my gun and rack, just to be racking. Suppose I did not even see danger and it just appeared? Oh, Please MR Bad guy, do you mind if I take the time to rack my empty chambered gun? Seriously, you go about your area with a empty chamber and you actually think you are good enough to beat a man with one already in the chamber than more power to you. I am not that good.

Put a gun in a cell phone. Everyone keeps them in their hands now anyway. Not as stupid as it sounds:

Sorry I must have misunderstood !!!! " noticed a movement off to the far side of my car. Instantly my natural instincts made be become on high alert. I approached the vehicle slowly moving further to the outside to get a better view, At this time my hand was on my hip and on my holstered gun."
If you are legally carrying you can carry it anyway you want is the way I read the law here. In my hand was where I wanted it at that time. If there was no danger & someone was alarmed by my gun I guess depending on who it was I would ask them if they are ok or needed any help.
This morning as I always do I checked to make sure I had 2 full mags & the gun was empty, because I don't want to be messing with my gun in the parking lot at work. as said before when I have to leave it in the truck I make sure no round is in the chamber. When I left work I had to stop by bank & Lowes I did not chamber before going in.

Well, I'm no Bob Munden. Heck, he's been dead for a year and could still outdraw me.

I know Skip likes to close threads. If there is a god, he'll close this one. Seems to me the results are most do, and some don't. Pick one.
