I didn't used to but after many suggestions from the good people here on this forum, I do now. In my HUMBLE opinion, there's safety and then there's going overboard. The gun won't go off unless you deliberately pull the trigger. Period. I could see there being a concern with light, sa triggers, but as long as the gun is made correctly and functions correctly, I don't see the trigger moving on its own

. . . or something accidentally pulls the trigger. For example:

Fortunately, with its long, pronounced DAO trigger pull, the LCP provides plenty of tactile feedback before the trigger reaches the breaking point. That's why I, for one, am completely comfortable carrying an LCP with a round in the chamber even though it lacks a manual safety.

I as well carry with one chambered in the Lcp, I would prefer a zero energy hammer/striker system like on my Sccy, where the hammer is completely down and has no force on it at all, but as long as heavy as the trigger pull is on my Lcp I feel the risk is minimal.

I always carry the LCP with a round chambered except for when I am around my 15 month old grand daughter. I pocket carry and found that the barrel was pointing directly at her a lot of the time, especially when seated. I just can not trust her life with a mechanical device.

Try back pocket carry when you're around her, pennsy. Odds are your barrel won't be pointing directly at her very often, especially when you're seated. ;-)
