I've got an older S&W M and P model 38 special that was handed down to me from my grandfather. It's in good shape and a great gun to keep in our family.

First cc gun I ever owned was a Charter Arms .38 and I still own it. As of now it is the only wheel gun I own. Lately I have been eyeballing that new LCR in .22 magnum. I don't know why really.

I bought a LCR 38+P a couple of weeks ago. First shoot wasn't great..but I'm starting to tune in my groups now. I love this Revolver, and am going to trade it out with my LCP, along with my ever present LC9. I'm carrying the Hornandy 110 +P Rounds. Try the 38 before you put down your money BDD...just saying...

My thought process (which means excuse) is that my mother currently has my 38 snubbie. She is 80 years old and God knows what would happen if she actually shot that little bucking bronco. If I bought a .22 mag and left it at her house to use, then I would give the .38 to my sister to use since her neighborhood is not all that great as of late. In the end, I get a new Ruger and have a valid reason for needing another guns. Right?

Correct, nothing more important than protecting your family. Don't forget to ask your Mother what kind of holster she will be needing with that.

Everybody needs a snubbie of some sort, BDD. I love my LC9 and LCP, but once in a while my LCR just feels right.

I've got her covered on that, but she barely leaves the house anymore. Good reminder though.

I recently had to tell her she couldn't look at somebody and see what kind of person they were. I had to break it to her that in a small town many people know that "an old lady lives alone in that house" and her opening the door to stranger days were over. She said she hadn't really thought of that and she didn't really feel like an old lady. I told her if the first digit of your age is an 8, it is pretty much official that you are old.

Thievin' SOB's come to mind when I see what they want for it. Good thing that the proposed Feinstein/Obama legislation is dying a loud but quick death - hopefully the ammo situation will let up.

Same here... shelves are picked clean. One local shop was buying from another LS and charging 3 times the price. Thievin' SOB's is right!! Death of that proposed legislation won't be quick or loud enough!
