I carried a Smith J frame .357 for years before I bought my Taurus 85 'cause it was lighter. My 6" Smith .357 can't be beat for accuracy, it shoots like it has it's own targeting system built in.

Interresting post. I've had a couple of S&W J Frame Snubbies around since the ealy 80's. A great pair of oldies that still function. Of course I've added a stack of revolvers and pistols to the collection since then.

Good post. If nothing else, the more calibers you have, the better chance you'll find at least something in stock, somewhere.
I still have my first carry gun, a Charter Arms Undercover 38. My mom has had it since my dad passed away. I will never sell it and it isn't worth that much anyway. It is an ok revolver though. I still like wheelers, but I am a pistol guy.
My second handgun purchase was a Ruger GP100 in .357 Mag/.38 Spl.
It is a family favorite at the range.
I carried a J-Frame .38spl +P (Remember the titanium model? That's mine.) for well over twenty years. When I decided five shots wasn't enough and I'm not very fast with a speed-loader, I got a Glock 26 that I love. However, I've still got plenty of .38spl self-defense and practice ammo in the safe.

I traded a Taurus TCP738 today along with $30 and picked up a New Heritage Arms Rough Rider .22 cal combo. It has two cylinders, one is for .22 long rifle, long, shorts, shot, and CB. The other is for .22 Mag. Nice little "old west" style SAO revolver. The Taurus was a jam-o-matic that my wife had to have because it was "lavender". I know the .22 isn't going to be a carry weapon, but instead a "fun gun" that can be shot for a dime when I get the itch
. I can go out in the back yard and squeeze off a few without disturbing the neighbors that much. It is the blued, 6.5" barrel model with the cocobolo grips. I really like it and it is my first revolver ever. I am afraid that it will spawn a bigger brother in the future. I will try and get some pics up in the future.
Here is my New Fun Gun.

Got the Rough Rider 22 for my wife for Christmas. Haven't been to the range yet, but it looks like a fun shooter.
I have a Ruger SP101 (my first hangun purchase) in .357 SS... love it!
