No, just for my Ruger 10/22 & 22/45 so the neighbors won't complain about my target shooting.

....MoHawk, congrats on the change in the Missouri law governing suppressors. I looked it over, but have stumbled on one point. No C&R FFL is now required to own a suppressor. Ownership is permitted if the applicant is within Federal compliance. The question: CC permits are issued by the sheriffs in Missouri counties....do you have to have a CC permit or other sheriff approved document to buy a suppressor, or just complete federal Form 4?

    Thx.

It's my understanding you need to complete a Form 4 plus have a CLEO sign-off or have the NFA Weapon (silencer) owned by a trust or LLC. Since I already have a Revocable Living Trust, I am going to transfer ownership of the silencer to the trust. This eliminates the CLEO sign-off and having to be finger printed. I'am sure glad Missouri caught up to most other states firearms laws.

I've been so busy with family related health problems the past few months I haven't keep up with the forums.

...thx for the clarification, MH. I did the same thing here in NC...except to our LLC...same rules apply as in Missouri. However, the sheriff can refuse a regular app for the suppressor, as it is not mandated for issue if all criteria are met by NC/Federal statute as is the CHP. So, we have the suppressor ownership left to the personal discretion of the sheriff. Some counties are lenient, some are absolutely no...another issue that needs to be addressed by the legislature.

Best to you and yours on the medical probs.
