Sitting at the SLC terminal waiting for my flight to Seattle. Pretty sure I'm not carrying right now.
This is a discussion on Concealed carry in prohibited places? within the CCW/CHL forums, part of the General Category category; I don't look very hard for signs, but I don't carry in the 9 listed PFZ's on the back of my CPL....

carrying in a "posted" place is different than doing it in a "prohibited" place correct? I'm sure state laws vary but i don't think it's criminal to "miss" the sign at Costco. But take your gun to your kids school (where there probably is no sign) and you've committed a crime.
I don't intentionally break any laws but I have made mistakes. Particularly in the knife department. I volunteer at my kids school a lot and always remember to leave my gun in the truck. But a knife has been in my pocket for 30yrs. leaving it behind is like leaving my keys behind. easy to forget its there.
cuz you just went to second base with the Blue Shirt Gestapo?Originally Posted by Deadbolt

Work in a school district and like being employed. Follow government building prohibitions pretty tightly.
Sometimes I just don't see the signage posted by local businesses.
And actually schools and federal buildings are relatively safe places...Of course the occasional violence in either place (especially schools) gets big headlines, but these instances are rare. thank G-D...
And I haven't set foot in a bank in forever...I just get in the drive-thru lane with the rest of the turkeys..
Oregon statutes prohibit 4 places to carry concealed with a permit: 1) Federal Bldgs, 2) Any Courthouse, 3) Any airport terminal & 4) Any Indian Casino (unless you have Tribal authorization...but c'mon, really?) Posted signs in a place of business, hospital, etc. doesn't stop me from carrying. If I'm made to be carrying, the establishment has the right to ask me to leave, and if I don't, I could be arrested for trespass. It's that simple here. It is totally legal to carry on school property in Oregon, and courts have ruled that districts can't circumvent state law, unless said school is a private school. Me? I carry except in the 4 places mentioned. Yogi
Don't...don't....and again, don't!!!!!
